I found this short to be incredibly powerful despite being a mere 20 minutes long. We watch as Alicia Vikander portrays all stages and roles in a human life as a child, mother, and grandmother. Music from The National is also featured.
Thought I'm a young male, I still found ways to connect with this. Mike Mills is trying to show that life is a journey with its own mini milestones. There's a definitive start and a definitive end. There is no such thing as a mistake, we merely keep learning and keep trying to adjust in the world. Though we may change physically, we will always be the same person. We do things out of impulse, question things, learn about other people, yet still see things through the context of our own experiences.
I intend to watch this again, and I encourage others to do the same. Spare a few minutes to watch art develop on the screen, you won't regret it.

This is so Mike Mills - in the best way! It feels to me like it has the same energy and existential narrative as Beginners, but gentler, in a loving feminine kind of way. Alicia Vikander is perfect in this. The National and Mike Mills are such a natural collaboration

As a film, it is worth checking out

"I Am Easy to Find" is an American English-language live action short film from 2019, so pretty new and fresh still and the director here is Oscar-nominated writer Mike Mills. lead actress is Oscar winner Alicia Vikander from Sweden. We see people talk all the time, but we don't find out what they are saying exactly because the voiceover here is all songs from the band The National and this is how they advertized their new album I suppose. Well the bad news is I did not find the songs and music memorable whatsoever honestly, so for me the video component was far more crucial. I would not recommend buying the record I suppose. Also is clearly under half an hour not really short for a whole album or is that a common duration nowadays. I know it was not years ago. However, as somebody who quite likes Vikander, it was still a rewarding watch at times. The one-liners that tell us basically very vaguely about the whole situation were good and necessary and I honestly liked them more than printing the exact dialogues on screen. Good job and idea there. Another thing I did not like apart from the audio were those orange background coming pretty much out of nowhere each time a jump in time happened. I know it was probably intended to emphasize the strong contrast, but to my entirely subjective liking it was not. Anyway, still overall, I thought the film felt touching and deep at some moments and it is pretty good for a short film occasionally. Luckily I don't have to rate it as an album or I'd give at least 2 stars less. I mean it's also not great for a movie, but I feel had they taken the same story again and turned it into a full feature film, then it would have been worth checking out and Mills definitely would have made it work. I honestly don't think it matters too much if you like the band featured in here when making your mind up if you wanna see this one, but you should decide based on how much you like Vikander. I think she is a really good actress, stunning and has always greatly artistic screen presence, so that's the main reason why I liked it and give it a thumbs-up. I also think that the project was nice to not just make a music video for one song, but for a whole album and I hope maybe this can be done more often in the future. I can't really remember others who did it in the past. R. Kelly? I'm not sure, but I think he has an amazing voice too, which needs to be said with all the backlash he's getting these days. Anyway, back to this one here, I give it a thumbs-up and recommend checking it out. You will like it even more if you appreciate black-and-white photography as much as I do. Go for it then!

Yeah....
As much as I loveThe National, this film is nothing more than pretentious time filler. Not nearly as clever as it thinks it is. I can't thinknof a single reason to ever watch it again.
